Violeta by Isabel Allende from Random House is the latest book mail I’ve gotten this past week. I first saw this book on bookstagram and absolutely fell in love with the cover. It is so beautiful. Then, I read what the book was about knew I had to have it.
Violeta tells the story of Violeta, who was born in 1920. The novel takes us on the journey of life in which she faced the Spanish flu, the Great Depression, the women’s rights movement, and so much more. The powerful story sweeps us into the world of Violeta and is a story I do not want to miss reading. On Goodreads, this book has a 4.16-star rating, and I cannot tell you how excited I am to read it. I have been looking for a historical novel to dive into with a strong female protagonist, and this book sounds the perfect pick!
This is my first book Isabel Allende, and I have a feeling it definitely will not be my last. I am so excited to find out more about this book. Have you read it? Comment below and let me know
