Sin & Chocolate is the introduction novel to K.F. Breene’s new series. I have to say; I truly LOVED this paranormal romance novel. It brings the reader into a world that reminds me of how Holly Black writes her Folk stories. In this novel, people are divided between those with magic and those without. It is unique, and if you love fantasy and magic, this novel will be your next favorite one to read.
The protagonist Alexis is strong and has a very memorable personality. She can talk to ghosts and cares deeply for the two teenagers she looks after: Daisy and Mordecai. What makes her one of my favorite characters is how she stands up to Kieran. He is a demigod and very much an Alpha, yet Alexis holds her own against him. Throughout the novel, I enjoyed their banter and especially how each stayed true to who they are even with each other.
What made this novel, though, was hands down the romance. Alexis and Kieran have intense chemistry, and you could really feel their connection with each other. This novel served as the introduction of their relationship and if it is any indication of what’s to come in the next story…I have to say their one hot couple. I’m excited to read the next novel.
Overall, I recommend picking up your copy. As many of you know, I’m a huge paranormal romance reader, and this novel to me delivered. I got a great fantasy plot mix with hot romance and memorable characters. It’s a triple threat that will keep you reading! It did me!
