One More Hug by Megan Alexander Review is here.
This book is my Mother’s Day book pick. With six younger brothers and sisters, we love gathering around and reading a Mother’s Day book. This year this is what we picked out to read.
This novel is refreshing, cute, and fun. It shows us we always need our mom’s no matter our age. Whether it be at night or going to school or before a performance, we always need one more kiss or one more hug from our mom.
The illustrations in this novel were excellent too. They were vibrant and unlike other children’s story which set it apart from other books on the shelves. The pages weren’t filled with too many words making this children’s book easy to read for beginning readers.
I think it is important on Mother’s Day to stop and enjoy a book, whether it be a children’s book, YA, or mystery. However, I felt like choosing a simple book with heart was the best choice. This book does have heart too. It is simple but has a tremendous message behind it that I love.
We always need our mom!
