Automate Your Busywork is a book that helps readers understand the power of automation in their daily work routine. It covers the basics of automation and how it can help boost productivity, reduce burnout, and ultimately lead to a better work-life balance. I wrote this book because I firmly believe that automation is the key to unlocking our full potential as professionals.
What are you most excited for readers to read in Automate Your Busywork?
I’m most excited for readers to discover how automation can help them reclaim their time and focus on the work that truly matters. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get bogged down with busy work and administrative tasks. By automating these tasks, readers can free up more time for creative and strategic work, which can have a significant impact on their careers and lives.
The book gives readers a look at how to save time. Was this something you brainstormed about for a while? How did you narrow down the most essential things someone needs to do to save time?
Yes, I’ve been thinking about the concept of time-saving for a while now. As the founder and CEO of Jotform, I’ve seen firsthand how automation can help businesses streamline their processes and achieve more with less. When writing this book, I wanted to distill all of that knowledge into a concise, actionable guide that readers can use to improve their own productivity.

What inspired you to write Automate Your Busywork?
I was inspired to write Automate Your Busywork because I believe that automation is the future of work. With advances in technology, there’s never been a better time to leverage automation to our advantage. But many people are still hesitant to adopt automation in their daily work routines, so I wanted to write a book that would help demystify automation and show readers how they can use it to their advantage.
Is there one part you’re most excited for readers to read?
There are a few parts of the book that I’m particularly excited for readers to read. One of these is the chapter on automating email workflows. Email is one of the most time-consuming tasks that we deal with on a daily basis, so being able to automate it can have a significant impact on our productivity.
Was being an author something you always aspired to be?
Being an author wasn’t something I always aspired to be, but I’ve always enjoyed writing. As the CEO of Jotform, I’ve written a lot of blog posts and articles over the years, so writing a book felt like a natural progression for me.
Readers may not realize this before reading your book, but you are the founder and CEO of Jotform. How did you find time to write this book?
Finding time to write this book was definitely a challenge, especially given my responsibilities as the CEO of Jotform. However, I knew that the message of automation was too important to ignore. I made sure to carve out time in my schedule each week to work on the book, and I also had a great team of editors and designers who helped me bring the project to life.
Walk us through a day in your life when writing Automate Your Busywork.
A typical day during the writing process involved fitting in writing whenever I could. I made sure to prioritize writing during my productivity prime time and balance my CEO duties and spending time with my family throughout the rest of the day.
Is there anything else you want to add?
I just want to emphasize how important automation is in today’s world. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a freelancer, or an employee at a large corporation, automation can help you work smarter, not harder. I hope that this book inspires readers to embrace automation and take their productivity to the next level.
