Striped Pocket Summer Sundress is one of my new favorite dresses! I got it from Francesca’s on sale for $39, regular $59. I grabbed it as soon as I saw it. I love the print! The blue stripes scream summertime, and I love the flare skirt. As soon as I tried it on, I discovered it had pockets too! How amazing is that? Now, if you’re like me, you love a dress with pockets. They are actually deep enough to put stuff in them too.
What about the sizing?
Okay, I will say this dress fits SUPER small. I got a size large in this dress. The waistband has no give, and the chest fits super snug. The medium I couldn’t do up in the back, but when I put on the large, it gave me the right length and fit. So I definitely recommend bumping up a size or two when getting this dress.
Is this dress better for day wear or nightwear?
Personally, I wore this dress both during the day and for dinner. I kept it casual since I was at the beach and opted out of accessories. I didn’t want to lose anything because, let’s face it. It’s hard to find anything in the sand if you lose it. So instead, I decided to pair it with a simple pair of shimmering gold sandals. It allowed me to wear this dress casually, walking along the beach and for a fun night out. The shoes dressed up this look for me!
Overall, I love this dress. Yes, it fits small, but it’s a classic fit (with pockets), and the print is something that will never go out of style. It’s perfect for summer!
