Puppy Love

So it’s been a while since I’ve written a ‘diary entry’ for you guys so here is one today. In case you guys didn’t know I got a puppy dalmatian {almost} five months ago at the end of the month. I’ve heard the saying ‘a puppy is a lot of work,’ or a ‘puppy will be your kid.’ But I never actually though twice about it until I got Gatsby my puppy dalmatian.

Gatsby is definitely a full time job. He is the cutest and sweetest dog and is very loyal but he takes work 24/7. I don’t even have time to watch T.V. or sit peacefully between working and taking care of him. He is already over 35 pounds and is definitely only going to get bigger. He is full of energy and I have walk him everyday and he is teething to bones are a requirement.
I enrolled him in puppy training at Petsmart and we are working on the first set of training exercises this week which he has been doing awesome at. I have what they call a ‘clicker’ which helps keep him focused when he’s training that work amazingly.
I’ve had a hard time with toilet training but I’m going to try a bell at the door so he knows to ring it when he has to go.

Overall having a puppy has been awesome, but also comes with a lot a lot a lot of work. If you aren’t prepared to take on a huge a responsible┬áthat will required all your time I don’t recommend getting a puppy. A lot of people think dogs are easy but they aren’t. You have to work with them in a healthy way and take care of them 24/7.
Gatsby is definitely a blessing, but is definitely in his terrible two stage.
Do you have a puppy?! What kind of puppy do you have?

Body Boss Fitness Routine

So a lot of you guys know I love fitness. I love my yoga sunset sessions and I love cardio. I usually run or the elliptical three times a week alternating between the two. I’ve adding Body Boss into my routine on the days I don’t do cardio and I have to say at first the exercises were difficult, but after doing them for a few weeks it got a little easier each time.

Body Boss lays out the exercises and shows you the correct way to do each exercise. You follow the workout plan and as you keep doing it each week, I’ve noticed a difference in myself as I’ve done it. My abs are more defined which is great because summer is approaching us and that means bikini season!
Let me know your favorite workout exercises you do and which works best for you!

First Fitness Run Since…

As all of you already know I had a major operation on my ear about nine weeks ago. I haven’t been able to fully workout like I used to since my surgery. Especially since I love running, but it’s high impact on my ear. This week was the first run I did in nine weeks. I admit I was nervous I didn’t want to hurt my ear since the surgery and was a little scared running would hurt it. But it didn’t.

Granted I didn’t run like I usually do. I just a slow jog to get back into it and I was surprisingly not too bad. I was sore the next day, but my ear didn’t hurt which I was relieved about.
Now that winter is coming the outdoor runs might not be something I can always do, but it was a nice change to do!

I have to say this little girl is as cute in person as she is in this picture and just as sweet! After babysitting her I’m definitely now wanting a new puppy to add to family!
Don’t we all love some puppy love! They are so cute and they love you no matter what!

What’s your favorite dog breed! What kind of puppy should I get?!?!
