HUDA Beauty Palette Review

All over Instagram I have seen the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette. I was hesitant to get it because I wasn’t sure if the bold 3D metals would stay on my eyes. Well, I waited too long and the palette sold out before I could get it! I have been waiting to get the palette on the Sephora site for over a month but it has been sold out and not restocked!

I was about to order it on her personal site, but she is located in Dubai and the shipping was really expensive. I just so happened to walk into Sephora yesterday and decided to walk back to her display and see if it was in-stock. Well, it WAS! I was so excited I grabbed one before I could think and got it.

Today, I tried my first Huda look that I call the ‘Huda Rose Gold Effect Look.’ I used the 3D Rose Gold Medal along with Flamingo in the crease and Black Truffle on the outer corner. I have to say I LOVE IT! I didn’t use a primer and the shadows stayed in place all day. The one thing I will say, is the photo above didn’t do it justice. The colors really popped  when you see it in person and they have that bold lavish effect I absolutely love.
This palette is a definite 10 for me! See more on my INSTA @HeyitsCarlyRae
Have YOU tried this Huda palette, which is your favorite color?

Ballet BABY

So a lot of you all of been writing in or snapping me asking me what I use on my eyes. Well, here’s a secret tip: I have been using the new Stila eyeshadow from Ulta. I saw it on display and I love anything that glitters or shimmers so I decided to give it a try.

I used it over a white base shadow and it went on smoothly and dried really fast, which I loved. It gave me a really nice shimmer and I got so many compliments on my makeup today when I wore this shadow. I was able to wear it all day without it moving or looking like it was ‘melting’ off.
I definitely love this new Stila product. I love the shimmer and I love the fact is act
ually dries and fast! When I do my makeup in the morning I usually only have 5-10 minutes and this is definitely a product ti”m going to keep using!
Have YOU tried this product? COMMENT below your favorite shimmer shadow you use!

I’m a Sweet Peach Girl

So as most of you guys know I love makeup. I’ve read so many reviews on the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette and have wanted it for so long! Every time I go to purchase it it’s sold out in-store. But the other day when I walked into Ulta I was in luck because they just got in their shipment of it and were fully stocked! I grabbed one and couldn’t wait to go home and try it.

Overall I absolutely LOVE this product. At first I thought it might hurt my eyes because it is scents and definitely smells like peaches which I love. It sounds weird but it smells amazing even when you wear the product! But the good news is the product doesn’t bother me. I can wear it all day and it’s awesome, it doesn’t come off when you wear it or anything.

Today I’m wearing a mix of White Peach, Cobbler, and Caramelized. I mixed the Cobbler and Caramelized colors together to achieve a mix of hues. I applied that on the top of my lid and then to accent underneath my eyebrows I use the Nectar and White Peach.
The colors are so easy to apply and is my new ‘go-to’ palette. I’m replacing my Naked Palette with this one for now! Underneath my eye I used Tempting to give an accent color.

What colors are your favorite in this palette?! I can’t wait to try a new peach smokey look next time I use it tomorrow. Above I posted a close-up of the palette so if you don’t have yet or aren’t familiar you can see what a close-up look of the palette actually looks like.
I love the fact that it has a mix of colors so the hues can look good on any skin tone which I think is a huge key! COMMENT BELOW if you love the SWEET Peach Palette!

French Braid Updo

The other day I was so excited to do a photoshoot for gown with Original Piece! It started raining right the when photoshoot was to begin (and it was an outdoor photoshoot), but luckily it stopped an hour later!

I didn’t have much time for hair and makeup, so the hairstylist and makeup artist did a quick French Braid undo. Literally I think it only took about 10 minutes for her to do this look and I absolutely loved it! I got so many compliments and it paired perfect with all the gowns they had!
To do the updo it’s really simple. All you have to do is do two French braids and then simply pin them up with bobby pins!

Comment below! What do you think of this hairstyle?!?!?!
