Books I recommend reading this month are Blindside by James Patterson, The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black, The Queen’s Assassin by Melissa De La Cruz, The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black, The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu, One of Us is Lying series by Karen M. McManus, The Sea Glass Cottage by RaeAnne Thayne, All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace, Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare, The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris, and The Flight Girls by Noelle Salazar.
During these uncertain times and with social distancing, we all have downtime. It made me start searching for new novels to read and expanding my genre categories. I love how Books A Million offers free curbside pickup. It made it super easy for me to order books online and wait safely in my car to get them delivered to me.
I spent the night before going through their website and adding novels to my cart. Then, I selected in-store pickup. The next day, I called the store, and a staff member brought the books to my car. It was super easy and really great they offer this service.
Many of my followers wrote in to ask which book I’m most excited to dive into right now. I am looking forward to reading The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris. The reviews are overwhelmingly inspiring, and I love how it is based on real events from Lale. As many of you know, I just started gaining interest in historical novels. When I was searching on Books A Million, that novel was one of the first to popup with fantastic feedback.
As far as mystery, I’m so excited to dive into the Karen M. McManus series. One of Us is Lying, and One of Us is Next is both a continuation of the story. Two Can Play that Game is her most recent one and a stand-alone novel. I cannot wait to dive into her mystery stories. Her books remain on the NYT bestseller list after over a hundred weeks, making me so excited to start her series! How I never read one of her books before this, I don’t know!
Finally, as far as fantasy, The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black is what I’m most looking forward too. I got introduced to the faerie realms in her Folk of the Air series. Those books made me a fan, and when I saw her latest novel on Books A Million website, I couldn’t wait to read it.

I’m reading some Nicholas Sparks right now for a little dose of romance but I will be switching to some Patricia Cornwell soon for some mystery!
