Review:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

I’m a lover of Bridgerton, the books, and the show. I’ve seen both seasons and currently reading through the whole series. I was excited to get Romancing Mr. Bridgerton as part of Heyitscarlyrae Influencer Program. This was the book I needed to read next.

I wanted Penolope to have her story to have her Bridgerton, Colin Bridgerton, finally. The history that these two have is quite remarkable. Not only is Colin one of the brothers of Penelope’s best friend Eloise. He’s also a long-time friend and love interest of Penelope’s over the years. Watching these two and reading about them and their ups and downs, you bond with them. You root for them just as one would all. Or most of the characters in Bridgerton.

Have you read this book yet?

However, I discovered Penelope and Colin’s story started out much slower than the others.

It it was still written well, and I kept reading because I wanted to read their story. Moreover, I wanted to see them get their happy ending. It took me longer than the last Bridgerton book to read. It isn’t until halfway through that Colin learns about Penelope’s secret identity.

I found that Penelope still needs more character development as Penelope and not when she is her secret identity. Colin developed quite nicely in this book. The other characters that were mentioned a lot were also developed, such as Eloise and Cressida. Those two were my favorite characters. They were the more interesting characters, in my opinion.

Again, the writing style was still well written. However, I thought some chapters were longer than they needed to be. I do feel that, in this case, the show adaptation of this book might be a bit better. Will this stop me from continuing to love Bridgerton and all it has to offer? Absolutely not. I will still continue to read the books and watch the show. Overall I was happy for Pen and Colin and happy that I finished this book. I still recommend this to fans of the show and the books. I’d like to explore more of this author’s books than just the Bridgerton series. I think her writing style is written well and beautiful.
